An outraged mother has promptly fired her babysitter after discovering her child was the focus of a cruel online video being shared across the internet.
When Brittany Dixson from Greenwood Indiana was sent a video on Facebook she had no idea the protagonist in the footage would be her seven-month-old baby Annora.
Ms Dixon watched in horror as her babysitter set her child down at a water park and allowed a massive bucket of water to pour down over her head.
« All I see is the baby sitting down and then like the back of the baby. Then I saw the babysitter and I kept looking at it. I’m like ‘surely enough that’s not my baby’, » Ms Dixson told Fox59.
« It freaked me out. All I did was want to get to her. Hold her tight and just be with her. I could not stop crying. I cried even when I had her in my arms because I just didn’t know what to do or how to react to the situation. »
Dixon’s babysitter didn’t apologise for actions but instead criticised the mother when confronted with the footage.
« She just told me that people need to mind their own business and that Nora’s perfectly fine. She’s eating and she was just having fun with her, » Dixson said.
The babysitter was immediately fired and no charges have been filed.
The video of the incident has been viewed more than 300,000 times.
