Unlike many marketing firms and agencies, Creative Internet Authority works exclusively with law firms. A combination of marketing tools, video and social media help lawyers freshly out of law school establish their firms, bring in clients and earn a solid reputation for their work.
Their intensive focus on nothing but attorneys and practices has brought the agency national recognition from the Women’s Business Enterprise by the Greater Women’s Business Council, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
“We have a goal of reaching 5,000 attorneys and practices in the next five years and for those firms to double their gross incomes. It is a very lofty goal, but our drive, determination and dedication to the customer is going to carry us through,” said Montina Portis, owner of Creative Internet Authority.
The WBENC has very strict standards for their awards, and the WBENC has its own smaller, regional groups. The process to make it to the national award is a lengthy process. Several states, including Georgia, submit their own nominees. From that point, each regional organization chooses their nominee for the national award.
The national award has given Montina a chance to appear on the Atlanta Legal Experts show on the Business Radio station. This show allows new attorneys and legal professionals a chance to call in and discuss topics with experts in all fields of law.
A new “Attorney Help” series will be focusing on IT and the importance in legal offices. Its focus on productivity and growth is closely tied to Portis’ own company and focus.
“I plan on discussing my award, and how my firm helps attorneys,” said Portis, “but the main focus is on how we use the Internet and resources to generate clients for our attorneys.”
Portis uses a large combination of services, including press releases, social media, SEO and video for attorneys to showcase their particular fields of expertise and in some instances, a lack of particular fields.
“Attorneys in smaller areas often do not have a single area of focus. Here in the Atlanta area, we have attorneys who specialize in all fields of law. Two hours outside of the city, and towns may have only one or two attorneys in practice,” said Portis.
Portis will be on the Atlanta Legal Experts show on August 11 at 8 a.m.
