NYC park worker busted for naked online video chat with kids

A worker at the Prospect Park skating rink was charged Wednesday with sexually exploiting underage girls from the Philippines in live stream videos and online chats, authorities said.

The FBI was tipped off by Yahoo!’s Internet crimes team that Jeffrey Robinson, of Brooklyn, was exchanging pictures and videos depicting child sex abuse, according to court papers.

Robinson, 52, admitted to the FBI that he has traveled to the Philippines where he had sex with minors and received child porn from the facilitators of his trips, FBI special agent Aaron Spivak stated in the complaint.

“Jeffrey Robinson had video chat communications in the U.S. with approximately five or six minors who were located in the Philippines and during some of these video chat sessions both he and the minors were nude, » Spivak stated.

There was also evidence on Robinson’s laptop of him directing a girl who said she was 13-years-old to perform sex acts with her older brother in exchange for 1,200 pesos, according to the complaint.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kaitlin Farrell advised Magistrate Judge Robert Levy that the defendant lives in the same building where a day care center is located, and works in close proximity to children and teenagers at the popular skating rink. It is unclear if he drove the Zamboni machine.

But Levy said he would consider releasing Robinson on $100,000 bail and house arrest if a financially secure person comes forward to vouch for him.

A spokesman for the rink did not respond to a request for comment.
